The Pair of Dolphins on this plaque are made of bronze, and are in perfect condition. They are mounted on a hardwood plaque, and we would estimate that they are either from the late 19th. or early 20th. Century. They would originally have been used on a sailboat, possibly a Royal Naval Cutter, for example, affixed to a Tiller Yoke, with a swing hook to attach the Tiller handle to. It looks like they have been used as a decorative wall display piece, judging by the fixings attached to the plaque.
